In recent years, there has been growing interest in sports practices, especially martial arts such as karate, in relation to health promotion and well-being, particularly among children. Numerous studies have demonstrated that karate can positively influence not only physical development but also behavior and learning skills, including in children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Karate training, especially through structured practices such as kumite, enhances motor coordination, physical resilience, and body awareness, which can help manage core ADHD symptoms like impulsivity and inattention. Moreover, the martial arts environment instills essential values such as respect, discipline, and emotional regulation, facilitating improved social interactions and reduced problematic behaviors. Karate serves as a pedagogical method that integrates physical, cognitive, and relational dimensions, offering inclusive and supportive environments for children with learning difficulties. This paper discusses the educational and therapeutic potential of karate as a holistic strategy to promote social inclusion, emotional balance, and cognitive engagement in children, particularly those affected by ADHD.
